Daring to Dream Along with Martin Luther King

To be integrated is to be sensitive to the needs of others, and a seeker of greater understanding for a brother's situation. I pray that we all might dream along with Dr. King a nd that some day, arm in arm, we might all stand on the mountaintop with our Lord Jesus knowing that we have fought the "good fight" for racial unity and have received His well-done.

Martin Luther King dared to face injustice peacefully. We just can't wait for the next colleague to do something. We must take the initiative. Equality is every race's opportunity.

The African-American Pastor

Put yourself Joshua's shoes. Your leader Moses has just died, and then God tells you that you're to become the new leader of Israel. Depending on your perspective, it could either be a moment of destiny or anxiety. For Joshua, it was probably the latter because the Lord goes on to reassure him: "No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Joshua 1:5, NIV).

This verse that has tremendous power when we face life's challenges, no matter how complex and difficult they appear. Remember that He is with us. In all situations, He is with us. The Lord will never leave nor forsake us. As Joshua placed his trust in the Lord and met his challenges head-on, I encourage you to trust Him today as well.
