Nationally known speaker, author and apologist Alex McFarland will host each weekend. He is currently the president of Southern Evangelical Seminary and the Veritas Graduate School of Apologetics, considered the premier school for the study of apologetics in the nation. He's also responsible for the creation of the Big Dig Apologetics conference, which brings notable speakers Josh McDowell and Lee Strobel together in a large venue format. As you can imagine, Alex is incredibly gifted at empowering young minds to grapple with the tough questions and stand strong in their faith.

There are three different Dig Deeper Weekend Seminars:

  • Stand: Core Truths You Must Know for an Unshakable Faith

    This seminar teaches the six basic doctrines of Christianity. Content covers the foundational core truths held by Christians for 2,000 years. This presentation gives facts that not only make Christianity unique, but which truly motivate believers to stand strong in their faith. Teens will learn deep truths about God, the Bible and Jesus Christ, and understand how these truths fit together and are relevant to everyday life.

  • Stand Strong in College

    For more than 15 years Alex has done a series of presentations titled "What You'll Hear Your Freshman Year?Preparing for the Ways that College Will ChallengeYour Faith." In 2007, this series became a book, Stand Strong in College. Now a new generation is becoming equipped to thrive spiritually even in the sometimes-hostile university environment. College life can be a place of intense intellectual and spiritual challenges, and in the Stand Strong in College presentation, Alex identifies areas in which university life causes students to lose their faith.

  • War of the Worldviews

    Do you know your worldview? Did you know that you have one and that it directs your life more than you may realize? In this humorous and informative presentation, Alex McFarland defines the basic views of life and reality that are held by Christian people everywhere. Alex explains the basic beliefs of the Christian worldview and how we know that Christianity is real. War of the Worldviews also contains helpful information about how to effectively discuss and share Christ with non-Christians.
